Mufulira Blackpool look doomed for relegation having accumulated just 9 points so far this this season from 25 out of 34 games played, having failed to record a single win
They are on their way to becoming the worst ever team ever to play in the Zambian Super League
But the lowest-ever points tally of 7 was set by City Snipers in 1997
City Snipers and Chilanga Heroes have also suffered bad campaigns in 1997 and 2005 respecively, Snipers finishing with 7 points (a record low), and Chilanga finishing with 9.

Mufulira Blackpool are one of the worst teams in the history of the Zambian Super League and having failed to record a single win from 25 games, many will agree. They are quite simply an embarrassment. They do not deserve to be playing Zambian top flight football. I cannot imagine one Zambian Super League manager looking at that team and thinking there is one player he would like to take into his squad.
City Snipers and Chilanga Heroes may be the worst statistically ever to play in the Zambian Super League, but forget about what points they had — they give Mufulira Blackpool no excuse for the their overall shambolic 2016 Zambian Super League season.
It was quickly and painfully apparent right from the start of the season that Mufulira Blackpool were some way out of their depth in the Zambian Super League and they are in the process of setting a raft of unwanted records.
They have won 0 games so far this season. Furthermore, they have recorded the heaviest defeat of the season (6-0 away to Zanaco).
Mufulira Blackpool are whipping boys for most teams, with Zesco United, Zanaco, and Power Dynamos all smashing them by margins of at least 4 goals.
