I have no apologies for promoting Zambian club football to the fullest on Radio. Neither do I have anything against other leagues and I do watch most leagues. Now think about it. Would the English Premier League, La Liga or Serie A be developed if their local media and radio stations did not talk about them?

Personally I believe in 70 percent local content and 30 percent foreign content. Naturally there are a lot of good things about the English League and other leagues therefore these are the best leagues and should definitely be talked about but not to the detriment of Zambian football.
Personally I admire South African Radio and listen to it a lot. They talk about the South African league mostly giving other leagues less coverage. If anything, it would be good to pass legislation that states that local sport should comprise 80 percent of the media content with 20 percent foreign, like the new legislation in South Africa which states that that more local music should be promoted.
If we do not promote our own who will? I remember the first time I did radio in livingstone at Radio Musi-o-Tunia in 2009 where I was advised by many people to talk a lot about European football. In fact during my 2 months there we did not talk about Zambian football on any of our 30 minutes show on Saturday.
It wasn't the decision of the station but an unconscious decision of the presenter and me who was a panelist.
I personally used to think that no one was interested in local football as I was so never bothered to talk about it. Was I wrong?
It is said you have to give the audience what it wants. But who says that the Zambian Super League is not exactly what many Zambians want? Majority of Zambians are starved of information when it comes to Zambian football so the media has to meet that demand.
