The 2016 Zambian Super League season is still on, and approaching its latter stages but other leagues around Africa are winding up so here are some local and foreign players that meet the bill for playing in the Zambian League:

Ifeanyi Onuigbo

The Nigerian player Ifeanyi Onuigbo joined Enyimba around March this year from Heartland FC under new coach Paul Aiyugbun most likely because he had previous CAF African Champions League experience with Al Hilal of Sudan. Onuigbo though failed to make the cut at the club and Enyimba has announced on its Facebook page that his contract expired a few days ago and it was not renewed but no one can doubt his tenacity on the pitch and Onuigbo is a definite fighter. Not the youngest of players its easy to see that he would fit in many Zambian Super League clubs that lack that fighting spirit. It is easy to picture him at Napsa Stars or Forest Rangers.

Ahmed Toure

Once the top-scorer of the Ghanaian Premier League he has had a number of issues with his club Asante Kotoko which forced him to walk out of it. However, while the issue seems to have been sorted this would be the perfect opportunity for Zesco United or Zanaco to make a bid for the Ghanaian striker. Zesco are a club in need of another really aggressive centre-forward.

Felix Nyaende

The Forest Rangers striker is on course to becoming the first striker outside of the top 4 teams in the Zambian Super League to finish the season with more than 10 goals since Bornwell Mwape scored 12 for Nchanga Rangers in the 2013 season. The young Zambian striker has recovered the form he had as a teenage striker at Power Dynamos in 2012 and the only transfer option for him seems to be Zesco United as he has already played at Nkana and Power Dynamos.

Patson Jaure

The Ngezi Platinum player, formerly of Dynamos, had trekked to South Africa two years ago were he featured for University of Pretoria but he is back in the Zimbabwean league and putting in some decent, solid performances. He is one of the reasons that Dembare dominated the Zimbabwean league for a long time with his calm defending. Zesco United, Zanaco, Power Dynamos and Nkana FC all need defenders in their team, and they could all look to sign the Zimbabwean.

Emmanuel Kabasa

Lusaka Tigers seem to be headed for relegation but the muscular Zambian midfielder just looks like he does not deserve to play in the lower leagues as he gives his all in every match.

Eric Marcelo Ouma

The short, speedy Kenyan wingback has shown a lot of class for Gor Mahia this year and has been living up to his Marcelo nickname and he would be a great addition to any Zambian Super League team in terms of entertainment.
