The Zambian Super League returns this Wednsday with a number of interesting matches in store as we enter the most crucial stage of the season. Here is a sneak of the some selected fixtures:

Red Arrows vs Zanaco FC
Rewind to the final day of the 2014 Zambian Super League season. As the referee blew the final whistle, the Zanaco FC players lay on the Nkoloma Stadium pitch, some shedding tears as they handed over the title to Zesco United on the last day of the season after being thrashed 4-0 by Lusaka rivals Red Arrows. The Bankers went from first place to third following a disastrous second half.
Since that fateful meeting two years ago, Zanaco have not lost to Arrows, but have beaten them twice and drawn once. Zanaco though have still not beaten Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium since 2012 and this match will be a test against the Airmen who have the second strongest defence at home in the league having only conceded 4 goals in 13 home games this season.
Lumwana Radiants vs Nkana FC
Unconfirmed reports indicate that Nkana FC may fly to Lumwana for the match. If that happens this will mean Nkana players will be rested for the match and will have to prepare well. Radiants held Nkana to a 0-0 draw in the last meeting at Nkana Stadium a result which shocked most Nkana fans and should the Kitwe outfit win, they will keep pace with second placed Power Dynamos.
Mufulira Blackpool vs Power Dynamos
Power missed an opportunity last weekend to leapfrog Nkana FC when they surprisingly went down 1-0 away to Green Eagles. Against relegated Blackpool, Power come up against a team that has not won a game this season but has lost 7 at home. On paper, this should be a straightforward win for Power.
Zesco United vs Lusaka Dynamos
The defending champions return to action after a long lay off and with a whopping 8 games to play and 17 points to close the gap on Zanaco who also have two games in hand. The last time Zesco faced Lusaka Dynamos it ended 2-0 in Zega's favor and they now come up against an Lusaka Dynamos side whose hopes of survival have increased after they beat Nakambala Leopards 1-0 away in Mazabuka. Will Zesco United's title revival begin tomorrow or is Power going to overtake Nkana? We wait to see.
