As we approach week 32 of the Zambian Super League season, we look at who will stay up and go down.
Green Eagles will move up to 11th place above Lumwana with a victory against Nchanga Rangers.
A draw will keep Eagles in 12th position. Nchanga Rangers will leapfrog Green Eagles. A draw will not be sufficient for Nchanga Rangers to climb up the table and things could get worse for them if fellow strugglers Lusaka Dynamos win away in Ndola on Sunday.
Nchanga Rangers however can only get into the relegation zone if they lose and Lusaka Dynamos win.
Napsa Stars vs Mufulira Wanderers
Mufulira Wanderers must win this game if they are to have any chances of getting out of the relegation zone. A draw will not be enough to steer them to safety. They will have to win, and by a margin if they are to leapfrog Nchanga should they lose to Green Eagles. If Green Eagles beat Nchanga Rangers 1-0, Mufulira Wanderers would have to beat NAPSA 3-0. Hence, there is a big possibility of Mufulira Wanderers remaining in the danger zone after this round of games
Forest Rangers vs Lusaka Dynamos
Lusaka Dynamos has destiny in their hands and have a great chance of climbing out of the relegation zone. If they can beat Forest Rangers they will be out of the bottom four without having to depend on other results. If Lusaka Dynamos beat Forest Rangers as well as Green Eagles and Nchanga Rangers win, then all of a sudden Nakambala Leopards will end up in the drop Zone. A draw for Lusaka Dynamos will not be enough to steer the team out of the relegation zone.
